SAVING THE WORLD ONE
DESIGN AT A TIME.

I, Nathan Evans, am an Iowa born, corn fed, design bred, transplanted Kansas Citian. I, like my forefathers, sought out a great land of opportunity to plant and foster a vision! This lead me to Kansas City where I have loved, studied, worked and lived out my passion for creative and critical thinking.

I believe that it’s always important to create with the end in mind; have a clear vision, make a list of goals and then find the thread that sews it all together. Whether I’m playing music, writing, gardening or sanding away on a carpentry project, I believe that forming a clear vision is where the real work of creation is done! Whether that’s on screen, in a sketchbook or scrawled onto a napkin. Vision is the summit, reality is the base camp and everything in between is where curiosity, questioning and creating strategy-based goals act as guide posts on the journey to the top.

The best advice that I’ve ever gotten (other than “don’t eat the yellow snow!”) came from my dad when I was a kid. I asked him what I should do when I grew up and he paused, thought for a second and said, “You can do anything you want to, just make sure it’s something you like so much that you feel like you can’t believe someone would actually pay you to do it.” Those words have stuck with me into my adult life and are ultimately why I chose the creative field.

I have worked in the design field for 9+ years primarily doing visual design for print, web and apparel. My time in Kansas city has lead me to opportunities which include teaching web design and working with clients such as Nike, LIVESTRONG, USOC, Hurley, Ping, Columbia, as well as a handful of small business owners and artists.
